MVC Points

In New Jersey, drivers are issued points by the Motor Vehicle Commission when they plead guilty to or are found guilty of moving violations. The assessment of points on your license has significant consequences. Points can lead to increases in your insurance premiums, surcharges from the MVC and a suspension of your motor vechicle license. By knowing your rights, being properly advised and having the services of an attorney, you can present defenses that can eliminate points. There are also other "no point" offenses which I can negotiate a plea bargain through the prosecutor; which will result in "no points" to you and avoid a great increase in your auto insurance premiums.

The following is a list of offenses which result in motor vehicle points on your license.
